Note on active air flap control:
BMW installs an active air flap control (also called "active radiator shutter") in its G-models, which automatically regulates the air intake in the front area – for example, for faster warm-up or better aerodynamics. As engine temperature rises or load increases, the system opens automatically – precisely when the air scoop receives effective airflow and unfolds its full effect. This can, of course, be removed or programmed to open manually in certain situations.
