How the air scoop works

The air scoop actively captures headwind and directs it straight into your BMW's air filter box, leading to a reduction in intake temperature. The result: higher oxygen content in the intake air, improved combustion efficiency, and more dynamic power delivery.

Note on active air flap control:

BMW G-models feature an active radiator grille that regulates the air intake as needed (e.g., for aerodynamics or cold-start phase). As soon as the system opens under load or rising temperature, the air scoop is immediately supplied with air and unfolds its full technical effect. For maximum performance in motorsport applications, the control of the flaps can also be manually adjusted or set to stay open permanently.
