How the air scoop works

The air scoop actively captures the airflow and directs it directly into your BMW's air filter box, which leads to a reduction in intake temperature. The result: higher oxygen content in the intake air, improved combustion efficiency and more dynamic power delivery

Note on active air flap control:

BMW G models have an active radiator shutter that regulates the air intake as required (e.g. for aerodynamics or cold start phase). As soon as the system opens under load or rising temperature, the air scoop is immediately supplied with air and develops its full technical effect. For maximum performance in motorsport applications, the control of the flaps can also be manually adjusted or permanently opened.
