Bionic Flow Guidance for the most Powerful EA888 Gen.4 Engines

The RevDop High-Flow Turbo Inlet was specially developed for the more powerful EA888 Gen.4 engines with 300 hp and above. Especially in these high-performance units, the air supply to the turbocharger is a decisive factor for responsiveness, power delivery and efficiency.

While the standard turbo inlet is designed for installation space and large-scale production, our high-flow turbo inlet follows a consistent fluid dynamic development approach. With the help of state-of-the-art CFD simulations, the complete internal geometry was newly developed and optimized according to bionic flow principles.

The result is significantly more homogeneous airflow with a 26% larger fluid volume and up to 16% lower pressure loss compared to the OEM turbo inlet.

Developed with CFD flow simulation

The focus of the development was the optimization of the internal airflow. Through extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, the geometry of the turbo inlet was completely redesigned.

All flow-relevant areas were analyzed and optimized with regard to pressure distribution, air speed and flow pattern. This enabled cross-section changes to be harmonized, deflection losses to be reduced and the airflow to be made significantly more efficient.

Compared to the standard component, the RevDop High-Flow Turbo Inlet has an approximately 26% larger internal fluid volume. At the same time, the flow-optimized internal geometry reduces pressure loss by up to 16%.

As a result, the intake air reaches the turbocharger more evenly and with less resistance – the basis for more efficient operation of the entire intake system.

Bionic flow guidance

The heart of our turbo inlet is the bionically developed internal geometry.

Instead of merely guiding air through a larger cross-section, the entire flow path was specifically optimized. The air is guided to the compressor in a more controlled manner, reducing turbulence and local pressure differences.

Especially in powerful engines of 300 hp and above, which pump significantly higher air masses as standard than the weaker variants, this optimized flow guidance contributes to a more stable air supply to the turbocharger.

Developed for high air masses

As engine performance increases, so do the demands on the intake system.

The RevDop High-Flow Turbo Inlet was specially developed for the higher air flows of the 300 hp and above versions and supports the turbocharger with a more even inflow.

Especially in performance-enhanced vehicles or under high load, the optimized airflow helps to use existing hardware more efficiently and minimize unnecessary flow losses.

High-quality manufacturing from PA12

The turbo inlet is manufactured from high-quality PA12, an engineering plastic that has proven its excellent material properties in motorsport.

Manufacturing is carried out using a high-resolution industrial 3D printing process (laser sintering) and ensures a precise fit at the original connection points.

Plug & Play Installation

The RevDop High-Flow Turbo Inlet completely replaces the standard component.

Installation takes place at the original mounting and connection points. No additional modifications to the vehicle are required.
