With the latest version of our turbo inlet for the G-Series BMW M440i, we are consistently perfecting the OEM concept. The goal was a purely technical optimization without bionic experiments, to straighten the airflow path to the B58 engine. Since the factory inlet obstructs mass airflow and dampens acoustic characteristics through integrated resonance chambers, our new development completely eliminates these barriers. This allows for a more direct flow to the compressor, resulting in a pressure loss reduction of approximately 15% and an increase in air mass by up to 5% in test measurements – without additional software intervention.

To prevent aerodynamic losses throughout the entire system, the set includes a cover cap for the air filter housing. This deactivates the damping chamber there, ensuring the path to the turbo inlet is as undisturbed as possible. The external honeycomb structure of the component combines modern aesthetics with increased structural rigidity and low intrinsic weight. This inlet is the ideal solution for international export conversions that demand a technically sound improvement in air supply to efficiently exploit the full potential of the B58 engine in global competition.
