Our high-flow turbo inlet for 258 HP BMW N57 diesel engines was developed to specifically optimize the air ducting between the intake system and the turbocharger. The aerodynamically optimized design directs air more efficiently to the compressor, which can improve the engine's air supply.
While the series component is primarily designed for comfort, manufacturing specifications, and noise behavior, our turbo inlet pursues a consistently performance-oriented approach. The optimized geometry reduces flow-related losses and creates ideal conditions for vehicles with increased air demand.

Proven performance increase on the test bench
The flow-optimized design of our turbo inlet directly affects the turbocharger's air supply. Performance increases of up to 19 HP and torque increases of up to 27 Nm were documented during comparative measurements on the dynamometer at AS Performance.
Furthermore, an improved response was observed, especially during load changes and in the lower speed range. The more homogeneous flow to the compressor supports more efficient turbocharger operation and contributes to faster air mass and boost pressure buildup.
Flow-optimized design
Development was carried out taking into account modern flow analyses and practical test conditions. The aim was to guide the airflow through the intake tract as controlled as possible and to optimize critical areas within the series geometry.
The result is a design that directs the airflow more uniformly to the compressor, thus creating ideal conditions for efficient charging.
High-quality manufacturing from PA12
The turbo inlet is manufactured using high-resolution industrial 3D printing from PA12. This material offers high temperature resistance as well as excellent resistance to oil, fuel vapors, and the stresses in the engine compartment.
The robust construction ensures high dimensional stability with low weight and is ideal for long-term use in performance-oriented vehicles.
Installation
Installation is plug & play at the original mounting and connection points of the vehicle. All relevant geometries have been matched to the OEM interfaces, so no adjustments are necessary.

Important note
This turbo inlet is exclusively for N57 engines of the 258 HP version.
Not suitable for earlier N57 variants with 245 HP. We offer a separate turbo inlet for these vehicles.

This product has no ABE (General Operating Permit), no parts certificate, and no type approval.
It is not approved for use in public road traffic within the scope of the StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Use is exclusively for motorsport purposes, for export vehicles, or outside public roads.
Installation of this product may lead to the expiration of the vehicle's operating license according to §19 StVZO.
An approval according to §21 StVZO (individual approval) may be possible in individual cases, but must be clarified in advance with a testing organization (e.g., TÜV or DEKRA).
