Bionically developed flow geometry:

We combine nature and technology in our flow-guiding components. The bionically designed air filter box reduces pressure loss by up to 40% compared to the original air filter box. We achieve this by using state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to design the flow path with minimal flow losses and separation. We adapt the air filter box geometry to the flow, not the other way around. Internal turbulence is reduced by an average of 35% compared to the OEM system, allowing the engine to draw in air more easily and increasing overall engine efficiency. These factors result in improved responsiveness and more agile engine/turbocharger acceleration ( up to 30 Nm more torque at 1500 rpm) . Components such as the turbocharger's axial bearings are relieved of stress through easier intake, leading to a longer service life. The bionically designed air filter box exhibits no or only minimal changes in airflow. As a result, the system operates within the optimal range specified by the manufacturer.

Fuel consumption reduction:

The bionic geometry not only ensures greater performance but also increased efficiency. CO2 and nitrogen oxide emissions are reduced, as is fuel consumption. A significant improvement in power and responsiveness is achieved in the relevant lower RPM range, where the vehicle operates approximately 80% of the time. In collaboration with Lt. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Schreiner, Professor of Internal Combustion Engines and Mathematics at the University of Konstanz, we were able to theoretically demonstrate that reducing pressure loss by 40% can reduce fuel consumption by up to 0.32 liters per 100 km.

Proven performance improvement

specially developed air filter

For our bionically optimized air filter housing, we developed a specially designed air filter that guarantees optimal airflow. Due to the cost-effective manufacturing of OEM air filter housings, standard rectangular plate filters are preferred. However, since the flow-guiding components before and after the filter element are usually round or elliptical, the intake air still has to pass through the rectangular air filter. The air must therefore travel from a rounded geometry through a square one and back through another round one to find its way through the housing. Our rounded plate filters solve this problem and thus also increase efficiency.

Materials and in-house manufacturing

We spent years researching and developing our own independent production facility. Our intake systems are manufactured from high-quality polyurethane using our own mixing and dosing system. We use a temperature-resistant and tough-elastic material. In our developments, we constantly strive to combine automotive standards with innovative manufacturing techniques. Our material is resistant to oils, greases, and water.

More sound

The straight airflow into the air filter box noticeably improves the intake sound. The turbocharger whine is much more audible. Inside the car, you can hear the turbocharger hiss when you let off the gas. The engine simply sounds more powerful!
