Our newly developed turbo inlet for the 2.0 TDI EA288 engine is the ideal addition for anyone looking to enhance their VW diesel tuning in a technically sound way. Especially with modern 2.0 TDI engines, the turbocharger's air supply is a crucial factor for efficiency, responsiveness, and durability.
The standard EA288 turbo inlet is designed with a strong focus on noise reduction and optimizing installation space. However, this results in unnecessary restrictions in airflow. Our turbo inlet addresses this issue directly, significantly improving the flow conditions upstream of the compressor.
Thanks to a revised internal geometry and an approximately 15% increase in volume, the intake air is guided to the turbocharger more evenly and with less resistance. Flow analysis shows a pressure drop of around 18% compared to the original turbo inlet. Even without current dyno testing, this inlet provides a solid foundation for any 2.0 TDI tuning – from a mild software upgrade to more extensive diesel tuning.
Especially in popular platforms like the Golf 7 GTD, GTD, Passat, A3, Octavia, or Leon with the EA288 engine, the optimized turbo inlet ensures a more stable and efficient air supply under load.
Functional Design for EA288 Engine Tuning
The turbo inlet impresses not only with its internal components but also with a deliberately designed honeycomb structure on its outer surface. This design is inspired by bionic principles and combines high structural rigidity with a modern, technical look. The honeycomb structure enables a robust construction with minimal material usage and simultaneously gives the inlet a high-quality, motorsport-inspired appearance in the engine compartment. The turbo inlet was specifically developed for the limited space available in the EA288 engine bay. The outer contour is functionally designed to ensure maximum precision and trouble-free installation. The component is manufactured using a high-resolution 3D printing process with PA12, a plastic proven in the OEM and motorsport sectors with high temperature and media resistance.
This makes the inlet ideal for everyday use as well as for performance-optimized vehicles in the VW diesel tuning sector.

Delivery time
The turbo inlet is individually manufactured using a high-resolution 3D printing process after ordering. To ensure the highest quality and dimensional accuracy, the current delivery time is up to 3 weeks.
